How to use 5.03 TDP-X with CFE X.YZ

I have received a lot of mails asking how to use TDP features with CFE.

Just get tdpctrl.prx and put it inside seplugins folder. Then activate tdpctrl as a normal plugin, writting his root inside the file vsh.txt located in seplugins (if you don’t have the file, build it).

How to patch over ChickHEN

I have received a few mails asking for do this proccess.

The answer is : Hen works storing words with the function _sw (located in psptypes header) or using other macros. Also, contains sctrlHENPatchSyscall function reversed inside him, so if you wanna use sctrlHENPatchSyscall you should reverse it. Then of write your prx code, make an eboot.pbp and load your prx (the patches will be enabled only during the time your eboot is running. Won’t work if you are in the xmb)

PD : The problems that TDP has with some apps should be fixed by the creators of this apps if they want.

Firmware 5.03 has a TIFF Exploit

Another great search by Matiaz who has found another TIFF exploit. I recommend you don’t update your psp yet, it’s better stay on a firmware lower than 5.03. There are a lot of ways, and might be that this way doesn’t work with 5.03 , but it works with < 5.03.

I’m sure that now Matiaz is working now with the exploit, but is better wait for view more or less how works running the homebrew you are interested.

Day of releases : 5.03 TDP-3 which includes tdpDevkit pc tool

As we promised, here it is 5.03 TDP-3. You will see the features and get the instructions and more information about this software reading readme.txt. This RAR contains 5.03 TDP-3 and tdpDevkit.exe. tdpDevkit is a pc tool for patch some apps working with 5.00 M33, but not with 5.03 TDP. Usefull for example if you want use IrShell with 5.03 TDP (on readme.txt there are an example for patch Irshell and get work this one with 5.03 TDP).

Codemasters sets release date for Colin McRae DiRT 2

Codemasters has set the release date for the game Colin McRae DiRT 2 that is going to be for X360, Wii, NDS, PC, PS3 and PSP. Really, there is not a fixed date for the release yet, but it’s going to be released as soon as the september month arrives. Codemasters has been updating his ECO Engine (it does improve the simulation, graphics, and the car control, mainly). It’s going to include new races too.
